On June 29th St. Mary’s church doors were opened and all the parishioners that we had not seen for a long time were welcomed back.It was wonderful to see all the familiar faces, with Mass being celebrated by Fr. Alan O Leary.

The numbers were excellent for a Monday morning and were just under the quota of 50.

The entrance is through the main door & exit through the side doors . Hands were

sanitised on entering the church & the sewards who wore masks were able to guide everyone to get a seat.

People received Holy Communion  (in the hand only) with each seat taking their turn and again were guided by the stewards.

Collection boxes are at the exit doors & donations were gratefully appreciated.

People can now fulfil their Sunday obligation & go to Mass on a weekday Monday or Friday at 10am. In the next few weeks a speaker will be installed, so that when the quota is full inside, people will still be able to hear Mass from outside the church.

Your health & safety is our priority & we have had to make  some necessary changes as to how we do things.

For your additional health & safety we have enhanced our cleaning & sanitising practices

after each Mass & again when the church closes daily at 5pm.
